Toggle Lock/Unlock Mechanisim

Hello,

I am sure many of you guys must have seen this cool latch mechnisim working on Car. Its usually a plastic cover for the Coffee cup holder, that can be pressed once to close it & press it again to open it. Also on Fuel tank door.

Does any one have an idea, how this mechanism works, I am looking to understand the concept and make use of this mechnisim.

Can any of you share this info?

Possibly search on touch latch. Or, a ballpoint pen mechanism might be adaptable.
