Hydraulics in Mexico?

08/28/2011 5:34 PM

Hello, I am currently living in Guadalajara Mexico and I am looking to source some hydraulic motors. The problem I am having is trying to find motors that aré manufactured in Mexico because the duty cost to bring them in is crazy. I would like to find a brand that is manufactured in Mexico. I was using a "H" series Eaton motor in my shop in Canada. Quality is not a big issue but price is. Using about 50 a month. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

If Guadalajara has the equivalent of telephone "Yellow Pages," look up hydraulic equipment suppliers and see if they have domestic sources.

¿What happened to NAFTA; why are there still huge duties?

That's whats wrong with NAFTA. Ok to send them our jobs and work but just don't try to send them your materials. Taxes on materials going into is outrageous. Our government at work again!

Sad thing it's not just Mexico!

If you sell the product back out of country the duty is waived, but this is for product to be sold in México. And yes there is a ton of hydraulic distibutors here but I was wandering if anyone had any experience with a brand that is manufactured in México. Thanks

Not sure about made in mexico, but we sell/distribute those here at my company. Unfortunately, I'm in Oregon, USA. I can quote you if you send me a PM.

I suppose they could be smuggled across the border J/K.

Border patrol would never see it coming, as they would be going the wrong direction.
