Use of Soft Starter

dear,

if we look at the benefits and importance of soft starter during this age of crisis of energy, we see very poor and less use of the device in practical life due to which i am very depressed and want to know its causes please?

Soft starters deliver cost savings in terms of matching the motor starting to the capability of the supply to withstand the starting currents and the avoidance of peaks on peak demand tarriffs. They do not, in themselves, act as energy saving devices.
