Design Guidelines for Flash Vessel/Tank

09/18/2011 9:35 AM

i am working in powerpalnt design field.

i want to prepare design guidelines for flash vessels. i mean flash vessels used for flashing of drains from high pressure steam lines. this low pressure condensate/steam can be re-used in power cycle.

i need complete details about flash vessels. its definition, general function, applications, specificaiton, design basis, installation procedures etc.

Kindly help me in getting such information.

kindly send me if somebody had already prepared design guidelines of flash vessel.

Thanking you

Did you try anywhere else, first?

No, probably not.

This might help, or not.

Since you say you are working in power plant design field, you should be willing to purchase the proper documentation to support your design decisions.

Instead, you want us to give you the fruits of our labor for free so you may profit from them?

That's not ethical. I wouldn't hire you to design anything for me.

You know, if somebody works in government company, it is not easy to buy what ever they want through their company.

i am not here to learn ethical lessons from you. i know what is ethical and what is not.

Then you dont reply to the posted questions until someone pays for your answer.

Until then keep your answer with you only.

This is technical discussion and not commercial. if you have infromation you can share otherwise simply be silent. i sincerely advice you dont teach such lessons to others.

Here's what you asked for. "complete details about flash vessels. its definition, general function, applications, specificaiton, design basis, installation procedures etc."

I provided a source for the information. Sounds like you want someone to do your work for you for free.

Perhaps I misunderstood your request.

Good luck.

Bushan - Either your english is poor then OK otherwise you do not reply so HARSHLY to CR4 members and particularly not Lyn. Now unless you learn to apologise (which i am 100% sure you wont) I doubt if any CR4 Member would be willing to help you out.

To design a flash vessel please inform:

Condensate Discharge pressure ____bar & Quantity kg/hr ?

Flash Steam pressure ____bar and quantity Kg/hr you want to use?

prefer you email me at duconems at the rate yahoo dot com. I can then send you drawings at your email.

This is a large question, not easily handled in a setting of brief forum replies. (It would be like cramming a textbook or two into a page or two.)

Most steam condensate drainage can probably be dealt with more simply by steam traps, which sporadically drain off small amounts of condensate without need of pressure vessels. (At least in small to moderate sized systems; but large systems may need such vessels.)
