About Pneumatics

how to control stroke lengths of pneumatics. we want that air cylinder to be stopped at different positions even by increasing the load on it. we it to be controlled electrically or mechanically in simple manner. as simple as possible..please... send it my mail.... please....

One way is to feed air to the cylinder through an adjustable pressure regulator. Successively higher pressure compresses a spring or moves a load until the forces balance at an intermediate position.

You might try this searching on this or similar terms: pneumatic positioning control.

Just off the top, I'd look into a system like used on CNC machining equipment. A magnetic caliper could grab a bar attached to the cylinder.
