As in all things, "It depends"...

What do you mean by "lighting fixture"? Incandescent? Fluorescent? CFL? LED? HID such as HPS, LPS, MV, MH? If one of the HIDs or Fluorescents, SMPS ballasts or magnetic ballasts?

Dear JReaf,

This is for HID lamps, Flourescent. If i use 50 Hz inplace of 60 Hz,

1. Is there any change in Lux level,

2. What about life time?

You mean 230V.50 Hz (European), vs

240V. 60Hz (US. ?Canada), right?

Incandescents? No problem.

HID or Fluorescents?.

Change the ballasts/lamps for best performance.

50 Hz. Magnetic ballasts will 'choke' more at 60Hz. reducing current/output.
