To use 80W CFL in place of 125W Philips HPL-N in chemical indusatris (hazardous area) is beneficial ???

80W luxs is more thah 125W marcury lamp .... I have test it by my self....

125W HPL - N I suppose is metal halide

definitely, you may go for power savings. will be beneficial

In fact, you may go for 2*36W or 3*36W CFL also. depend upon the light levels required.

you are right sir but i just want to replace lamp by CFL..... Because I have FLP light fittings in plant and it's costly. So i want to use that FLP encloser by just changeing CLF and removing chocks. And in that fitting only 80 thared holder CFL can use.... So don't have other opption. I have to use 80 W CFL

The new control gear may fit, but alter the internal design and you invalidate the Ex certificate.

So to save cost you will deliberately break the law?
