Damage AC Compressor

10/04/2011 11:38 PM

Hi

I would like to address to you guys our airconditioning compressor problem, since we install the unit last january 2011 upto now, we often ( 3times ) change the ac compressor due to burn or damage system the source of power is existing circuit, the compressor unit is 3hp, the circuit wiring are 5.5mm, with 30ampere circuit breaker tapped to a 220V, 2W, supply. is it possible that the existing circuit line is faulty?, on my own finding the wiring is faulty, and it produce voltage spike during voltage inrush. i need your opinion guys..thanks and god bless "winston"

British Standard 7671 is applicable to cable sizing and protection setting.

We need more facts. Where is this unit, is the power reliable for voltage? Three horsepower seems a lot for just two wires and 30 amp breakers. I would expect three phase. Where was the unit made? Maybe it's just a cheap unit.
