How to Connect this Relay

10/06/2011 4:06 PM

I have bought a relay of 220V, 10A

I want to know which pin(s) should be connected to:

1. Permanent Input voltage.

2. Signalling voltage which is induced from a thermostat.

3. Output voltage to be connected to a heater.

Thanks a lot!

Why did you buy a motor control phase-reversal relay for a heater?

Sorry, can this relay applicable to my case?

The output is not necessary for a heater, for any appliances is the same because the principle is the same!

Is this kind of relay is connected to:

1. Permanent input voltage (power source)?

2. Signalling current / voltage?

3. Output voltage (to operate any device)?

I can't!

Anybody can tell which pin(s) exactly connected to which source?

This is not a relay that can be used for a signalling purpose as you had hoped. This connects to the circuit of a 3 phase motor, on pins 3, 4 and 6, than then drops out the motor starter coil if the phase order reverses. There is no possibility of using this for any other purpose.

The relay you've bought is a phase failure / phase sequence relay. It's of no use to you what so ever.

I hope it didn't cost you a lot, as normally they are quite expensive.
