Best All Around Performance?

10/10/2011 3:10 AM

140 C.I. @ 6000 R.P.M. WHAT SHOULD BE THE C.F.M. & JET SIZES?

I have a 2.3 L. Ford Pinto Engine: With Isky, .5" Lift / 295 Duration CAM.

10:1 Compression Pistons.

Weber Duel Down Draft Intake, with (2) 44 I.D. F's [What is their C.F.M?]

What should the jet sizes be "to start with?"

{ CARB C.F.M.= C.I. X Max. R.P.M.( ) /3456( ) X VR%~"90%"}

ANSWER IS: 140 x 6,000 = 840,000 / 3456 = 243.0 x .90 = "218.7c.f.m.Needed" ?

So... What is the C.F.M. of the Weber 44 I.D.F.Carb.?

What jet size needed? @ Air Fuel Mixture (A.F.M.) 14.0:1... (15.6 C.F.M.?) Under 4#s of pressure.( Dia. of ?)
