Air Receiver

10/14/2011 8:52 AM

In our plant we are using 2 compressors of 1000 CFM capacity, we have lot of pneumatic cylinders for various applications.

My aim is to stop 1 compressor and to run the total plant with 1 compressor. For this if I provide air receiver additionally by calculating the consumption of air will resolve my aim or not?

Please confirm my doubt

I think you should leave things as they are, assuming the system is working now.

You do not have the experience nor knowledge to reduce the air supply by 50% and retain a working system.

I agree you should first understand how much air your equipment consumes. Then understand the capacity of your air delivery system.

Till then, further analysis won't help.
