Effect of Current and Voltage by Adding Series Capacitance

10/20/2011 2:14 AM

Hi,

I wanna know will be there any effect in current and voltage if we add a series capacitance of 1microF at the input. what is the relation to find it out...

Can anyone help me?

Yes, there will be an effect, but it will depend on what the rest of the circuitry is, which hasn't yet been described.

If it is a DC circuit then adding the series capacitance will cause the current to go way down and the voltage will probably go up a little.
