Hello , I am applying for the following internship , but am a bit unsure about robustness studies and how they are used in engine mathematical model analysis. My last internship involved the statistical analysis of manufacturing systems. The said job involved checking the accuracy of the provided machine repair data by talking to the people who had actually complied it and people operating the machines referred to in the data.
Hence, I understand the concept, and just need case studies or a brief description the task from somebody who actually does it or has done it.
Department: Calibration
Your Responsibilities:
To develop a working Matlab/Simulink model of the Air Path Strategy
for Air path modelling
To prove accuracy of this model with real engine test data
To understand the sensitivity of the model outputs with respect to the
individual sub models by performing a robustness study
Your Profile:
Good Understanding of Diesel Engine Combustion
Good understaning of Matlab/Simulink
Knowledge of Engine Management Software & Calibration Tools
