why alloy steel materials is not being cut by gas cutting torch?

what are effect in material structure?

alloys in general can't be cut with an oyx/acet torch. the metal must contain a large amount of carbon that can react with the oxyen in order to oxide the metal.

a plasma cutter should be used instead.
