Mild Steel C-Channel

please advise what is the density of the mild steel and how to calculate the weight of the mild steel kg/cu.M

C-channel 100x50x6mmThkx3Meters length?

density of mild steel 7850 kg / m3

weight of c- channel of 3 meter length 27 kg approx.

Cut 3m of channel and place on a set of scales. More accurate than theory

most pre-formed steel has the weight per foot stamped on it. steel plate will have to be calculated as someone already menthioned. the supplier would know.

This sort of thing can be looked up. Try Kempe's Engineers' Yearbook, any edition, for example.
