Looks like a great idea. You scared me for a minute................I thought they were burning good scotch.

This is a little known fact, but I've actually used whiskey to increase the gravitational pull of the earth.

I was having palpitations, had to have a dram (not a small one either) to calm me down!

I find the American jug ones spin less, once you figure out where the handle is hiding.

"used whiskey to increase the gravitational pull of the earth"

I've used it to speak new languages and discover microscopic spiders. It can also be used to clean out RAM and ROM.

Cheers! And here's a beer brewery doing the same:

It's good to know our essential industries are sustainable and clean!

In fact many of the Breweries can also use the spent husk to generate power. Any plant utlising low pressure steam is ideal site for co-generation.

had trouble with the link, but I felt because of the low energy density in alcohol, the result made it inefficient.

It's probably not very efficient if they were harvesting the grain and distilling it just to run the turbine, but since it runs on waste that would otherwise be discarded, and they're not wasting any good scotch.................................what the heck?

Almost sounds like free energy.

As an possibly related aside, Vegemite is made from beer 'waste'. Aside from being viewed as toxic by Americans, it is a rich source of vitamins and an extremely efficacious remedy for 'morning sickness' - should you ever 'fall pregnant'.

Interesting.

As another aside, for some reason I can't change my email address in my profile. So I have to try to keep up by looking at subscribed discussions. All kinds of stuff slips through my fingers. I'm sure a lot of people must figure I'm stuck up when I don't reply. Been that way for over a year.

Do you get 'this address is in use' or WTTE?

If so, you will have to plead with Admin because your old address has 'naughty step' notes attached to it.
