How dense is the clay? How much weight per time must be conveyed? Do you already have a method for holding the belt down where it transits from horizontal to 26.84°? Is there some special reason why the belt can't be sloped the whole way? What is the consistency of the clay?

i will confirm the material density and flow rate when i go on site. there isnt enough space to slope the belt the whole way-26.84° cant be avoided. any checklist i can use to collect all the neccessary data?

There are a lot of ways to make this happen. My suggestion is to contact a belt supplier. I have used many types of incline belts that run materials at much more of a slope then your proposing. Make some contacts with local belt suppliers or goggle for information.

Why waste your time coming here when you will just have to go through all this again when you finally select a belt supplier.

Pick 3 potential suppliers, tell them you do not know anything about designing a conveyor system, give them all the information you have and ask them for their recommendations. Cut out the "middle-men", us.

GS has quite a few belt suppliers (http://www.globalspec.com/SpecSearch/Suppliers?comp=2411&frmtrk=fpsf) you can probably find one near you.
