Is it really a problem?

When you start the centrifuge, it must fill with oil, and thus the oil level in the source will decrease. Pretty soon, except for water separated out, the amount of oil returned from centrifuge to source will equal the amount drawn from the source.

I think you should try to describe this situation more fully. What kind of oil are you using, and how much contamination is in it? What size(s) of engine(s) and sump(s)?
