Is it possible to put a 50 amp RV outlet off of my air conditioner circuit?

DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS YOURSELF! The very fact that you have to ask strangers about this indicates that you do not have the knowledge to attempt this.

Don't take offense, but I'd suggest that you hire an electrician to evaluate this. If you are in the US there are codes that must be followed, mainly to keep you from killing someone or burning down your house and killing someone.

Yes, but you will probably run into problems if you try to run the AC and charge up the RV banks simultaneously.

In fact, you may want to do some further research or consult with an electrician. If your RV is equipped with a generator, you could also use this plug as a backup power supply from the RV to your house in the event of a power outage.................at least to run critical items.

Sure it's possible.

No No No No No..... too much information like that is going to be dangerous in the hands of a noob.

DO NOT attempt to use your RV generator to power up your house without having it done by a QUALIFIED electrical contractor who gets a PERMIT to make the connections and follows all of the EXTENSIVE rules put in place by the power company to avoid having you KILL one of their line workers!

I didn't give him any information. He asked if it was possible.

Personally I would consider using a 100 amp breaker to a subpanel, and splitting that to the AC and the charging outlet.

Either way, it's going to require hiring a professional or lots of homework to do it properly.

I would certainly hope that someone wouldn't just jump in and do it based on what I said in post 2, since it contained no pertinent information at all.

I doubt the airconditioner circuit is large enough for this, although it might be possible. However, motors are supposed to have their own dedicated circuits; e.g., washers, dryers, and refrigerators have separate circuits.

Consult a qualified electrician.
