Maximum Demand can refer to several different aspects of the electrical system.

  • At a Device level (a Motor)
  • At a Supply level (Generator or incoming Mains)
  • At a Usage level (Duty Cycle of any give piece of equipment)
  • At a Design level (Cable Selection and Protection (C\Bs))

The good news is that a quick search in CR4 or Google can help you CR4 alone has 10 pages of discussions & threads and I didn't bother with Google.

Your local standards or electrical authority will also provide guidance as to what is legal in you part of the world.

Regards,
Sapper

Maximum demand of an installation should be recorded by a datalogger.
