Petal Development of Toricone

Dear Sir,

I am working as CAD operator. I am unable to develop petal development of Toricone. Can any one tell to how to construct and develop petal development of Toricone. Please tell me is there any software. please help me Iwould be grateful.

This is hard to describe in words only, and I don't have a way to attach a drawing with enough detail. A textbook on pre-CAD drafting would have a unit on "developments and intersections" that gives the needed geometric techniques.

You want to do transitions.

Autocad has this tooling available as an add on.

Search internet for "Autocad circular transition", "Autocad duct transition"

There are a couple of strategies, in Vectorworks, for drawing toricones.

Autodesk Inventor does it quite simply. Develop the shape, cut a slice in it parallel to the central axis, unfold.

Caveat: it must be a relatively thin gaged material, obviously.
