1. Two main ones, log10 and ln, just as in other places.
2. It depends on how short/long the pieces they cut from trees are.

Hi,

Many posters (including you) do not tell what country they live in. It can be a source of frustration, if they are asking questions about local codes or laws, or even local customs.

We have members from all over the world and language can be a problem, as you have seen.
