I Love My Wife But...

12/24/2011 1:27 PM

Okay this is another one of my just for fun threads this time its relating to the lovable but strange quirks that my and probably most everyone else's wife or girlfriend exhibits.

Feel free to share any story of an quirk or experience that your significant other has or to just compare them for moral support!

--------------------------------------------

I love my wife but.... It absolutely bewilders me as to how she thinks that driving to town (35 miles round trip average) to buy a $2.00 grocery item at the store makes more sense than buying the same item in enough quantity to actually last for more than one day.

I love my wife but... She tells me she needs more social interaction than just me which is fine so I tell her to go call or visit her friends, our neighbors, family, go to the mall and walk around, etc etc. Then she tells me she does not want to do that because she is anti social. WTF?

I love my wife but... We like to watch movies together and I always let her pick what one to watch. She says she does not care for my movie choices but yet she is the one who always picks them.

I love my wife but... When she gets over tired she becomes very stubborn and wont take a nap or go to bed. (The same thing little kids do.) Then gets mad at me when I go and take a nap when ever I am feeling tired.

I love my wife but... She says we don't talk enough some days so I tell her to pick a subject and I will talk. Then she picks a topic that she already knows I don't care for or one that she knows full well how I am firmly set on and gets upset because I tell her exactly how its going to end. She says it wont but it still does any way leaving her upset or worse and me feeling bad because of it.

I love my wife but... She insists on telling me how to drive yet I am the one who grew up here and have life long experience with driving in our local climate and conditions plus I have a class A CDL with experience driving everything from busses to semi tanker trucks where as she has yet to get her American drivers license and does not prefer to drive anyway.

-----------------------------------

Feel free to add as much as you want. If nothing else it will help me feel better about the insane person I live with and love.

Ok seriously, my wife is the best. She is great looking given me four kids (though I would like to return 2 to cook longer) but the sun shines everyday on me when she smiles, but the days she is not smiling are the days I go to the office and don't work from the home office.

She is a 10 in my book...............

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I could not resist. Women just have a different logical path.

Many years ago, I said to my wife "I think I'll get one of those new CD players". She said "Why, we don't have any CDs" I let it go at the time, but tried again later. Same reply. Several times. When I have brought it up since, she still doesn't understand why it's funny.

We live out in the country, with a 1/4 mile driveway. You can't see the house from the road. There is a certain delivery company (I won't say which one, but it starts with an F and ends in an x) who only finds our house about 50% of the time. We have a mailbox at the end of the drive with our address on it, a box for deliveries about 1/2 the way up the driveway with our address (two signs actually), and a sign a bit further along with our name and address.

My wife insists that we need our address directly on our house. She insists that this is the reason they deliver our package to a neighbor, about 1/4 mile away, who does not have a mailbox or any indication of their address. I keep trying to tell her that when they come to our house, that they have passed three things that tell them they are at the correct house, and that what we need is for our neighbor to put up a sign with his address, but of course, I am wrong.
