12/28/2011 11:25 PM

Could anybody suggest as to how to analyse the constituents of Producer Gas produced by burning of Bituminous Coal?

OK, but is there any other method( thumb rule) to find by calculations the constituents, by analysing the coal?

If you know all the other process factors and control them like in a incinerator, but in this case you'll need no analysis afterwards.

Analysis of the coal can indicate of what to expect: but in the fire process you need also oxygen, and a good exhaust to complete the combustion. These two play also a very important role in your smoke residue.

While combustion isn't complete, expect CO, NOX, Sulphur, Hydrocarbons to name some, without being complete.

Making producer gas using the partial combustion of coal in the presence of steam is controlled by flue analyzers.

In effect the hot steam and air and the carbod of the coal undergo a process of incomplete combustion that produces CO, and H2 as well as some CO2. The lowest CO2 is best. Work down this search tree and follow references etc.
