We use and calibrate Hytorc hydraulic torque heads here and have good luck with them. They are reliable and usually in tolerance. I am unfamiliar with the other manufacturer.

mechanical torque wrenches are more stable and accurate. Hydraulic vary with temperature. Be more specific, if you want to torque nut's and bolt's or check a rotating item like a flywheel or turbine.

We had used hydraulic torque wrenches but not of these brands. We had very bad experience. In my view also mechanical torque wrenches are more stable and accurate. Hydraulic torque values vary with temperature and in your case even variation of 1% will be of 1800 Nm.

They are both excellent American tool manufacturers.

Choose the one who gives you the best pre-sales service and the most convenient service network for your location.

Do you already have some hydraulic tools in your inventory?

These are also available for rent. How much work do you have to do? What are you building/servicing?

I'm not sure why these are being compared to mechanical torque wrenches.
