I think you need to expand on this "FIREPOWER" aditive. Where can it be found?

It has all the appearances of a well setup con for suckers.......

Has anyone actually checked up if the people in the testimonials actually exist? The firms too?

If it saves as much as they claim, big industry will cut a pathway to their door, wait up!

It is amazing that it normally takes large corporations years to adapt to new technology.

In less than 5 minutes of net time, I verified the company, their clients and a couple of the tests.

It would take your average US company 2 years to do this.

Hi guest,

I can't help you with Firepower product but can share my experience with a related product. Firepower claims to reduce the build up of sludge and water, the latter reacting with the sulphor present in the oil to make sulphuric acid etc.etc.

Approx 25 years ago I was introduced to a filter which also claimed to increase the life of not only the diesel fuel but also the engine sump oil.

You will appreciate that engine oils for Diesel engines are expensive and I was introduced to a haulage fleet operator who fitted these filters in place of the standard units to his vehicles

basically, the filter cartridge is similar to a toilet roll and as the fuel/oil is forced through it collects water and sludge with apparently excellent results.

I left the vehicle industry some while back, but with my ongoing involvement with flushing equipment in the oil industry, I have used these filters succesfully on occasions where hydraulic oils are used.

I am aware that the filter may not have caught on in general use, but what with the price of oil products these days, and the pressure to go green, saving oil this way may be the order of the day.

If this product is of interest I will forward some details on to you.

Here is an awesome TESTED product that I keep stocked

How does VIP Diesel Fuel Improver/Lubricant measure up?

The City of North Bay, Ontario did a year long study to see what kind of fuel savings could be gained by using VIP Diesel Fuel Improver. To begin they took 30 city buses, using the same routes throughout the test, with the fuel price maintained on contract and they maintained the recommended dilutions for the entire year. The mileage calculated in at an increase of 12.5% which translated to a net cost savings of $27,473.00 for the year! Give the best a try with VIP Fuel Improver. http://www.h2ocontrol.com/productsVIP.php

"A further benefit has been the lack of injector failures & freeze-ups while using your product"

Cliff Cowcill, Mechanical Supervisor

VIP Diesel Fuel Improver / Lubricant is a compounded mixture of special chemicals which remove gum, sludge and deposits of carbon. It also removes water from fuel systems without damaging injectors. It contains a cetane booster and an anti-gel to stop fuel from gelling in cold weather. VIP Diesel Fuel Improver / Lubricant is compatible with all types and grades of diesel fuels. Recommended for all diesel engines.

BP British Petrolium have added a similar product to their regular pump fuel for several years.
