01/11/2012 12:47 PM

on what a factor a motor power (kw or hp) is depended... if someone says on size then it is wrong becaz i observed many times a small motor in size has more power in kw than large size of motor

The amount of current drawn under full load...Amps times volts = watts

1 hp(I) = 745.699872 W

Only if you can live with the inaccuracy introduced by ignoring power factor.

Power = V x I x Pf

Among other things, the motor rpm and frequency affect its hp considerably in relation to its size.
