1100 Volts Grade Power and Control Cable Use

Hi,

Can anybody tell me where in a hydroelectric plant 1100 volts grade power and control cable is used?

I don't know that that voltage is used anywhere, and control wiring or cable is everywhere...

In 400V 3ph cables the peak value of V is 400x1.414=565.6,for 600V it is 600x1.414 =848.4V. To get 1100V there may be a safety factor. I have seen 300/500V wiring cable for LV wiring.

May be they applied a safety factor of 1.2

For wiring up to 777 volts (≈ 1100/√2).

Yep. There should be a Cable Schedule document for each part of the installation. This document records the grade of cable used for each circuit. Find the document and look for cables listed in it that meet the 1100V grade criterion.
