Current Transformer

Hi,

Very Good day to all.

Would someone explain for Current Transformer. How do I easy understand CT 3x3 1500A/5A.

1.CT ratio

2.Prim current

3.Sec Current

4.Burden

5.Plugged on V phase?

Hi,

1.CT ratio - 1500/5A. Means when 1500A flows in your primary, you can measure 5A in the secondary.

2.Prim current- Current which flows in the primary winding of CT. In your case, 1500A

3.Sec Current- Current which flows in the secondary winding of CT. In your case, 5A

4.Burden- How much load the CT can feed without errors in the secondary circuit. (Load means relays, meters)

5.Plugged on V phase? - I am not getting you. Be more specific!
