Motor Changes

Hi there,

I am having a 3 Phase motor 73kw DH1 motor would like to convert the same to a single phase motor. Kindly let me know would it be possible to to use a single phase motor on the exisisting machine which is a garbage food liquidator. What are the possible changes I would have to make like pulley.

It might be possible, but not advisable...You would have to redesign the whole system starting with the power supply...

DH1 = what? How many volts? If rpm stays the same, pulley also stays the same.

Unless you have a 240 volt 500+ amp power service capable of supporting peak currents of around 1500 - 2000+ amps at startup you wont be able to power it!

Why do you want to go single phase for such a large motor? What do you hope to gain?
