Study About the Girth Gears and Types of Wear

I want to study evrything about the open gears and types of wears to gain experiance in this field. Any advices how to start ?

Sure. Google "fundamentals of gears".

Or find mechanical engineering handbooks such as "Machinery's Handbook".
