how to measure signal1-5vdc from smart transmitter?

Now power supply 24vdc to activate our transmitter.. Receive from our card 4 to 20mA.. We can measure in series with ammeter.. But how we measure 1 to 5volts signal?

Simple. Measure that voltage across 250Ω in the current loop.

how to check current loop.. because if measure voltage meanz v get 24vdc.. 1-5 cannot measure.?

Hi,

Check voltage across the 250 ohm resistor as suggested by PWSlack. If you want to do the calculations simply use Ohms Law

E= I X R 4mA= 1 Volt

E= 0.004X250

E= 1
