Motor Cable Size

If i have 5 KW 3 phase motor and 100 meters distance which size cable use please prove with formula

It does rather depend upon the supply voltage and frequency. Oh, and the method(s) of installation and the ambient temperature too.

Freqvancy = 50 Hz

ambient Temprature = 40-50 C

Dear Sir,

You are taking back us to our engg.college days !! Better refer to any elec data book for search for the answer. This is how you can learn the rope trick ( how to climb without any ladder- I mean any support).

If you were solving a specific real instalation problem, you wouldn't care about the formula because once done, you'll hardly EVER mess with it; and the command "prove with formula" proves you're cheating on an exam.

Your teacher should inspect every student and hold all cell phones, and in your case, whack your head two or three times.

line current= ((5x1000)/(1.732xp.fxη))

but your problem is distance also included so per phase copper/aluminium = (resistance of it/metre)x100xline current + phase voltage gives source applied voltage.
