I am looking for simple Software to manage Bill of Materials ( BOM ) in a plant maintenace ?

The OP asked for software - and you gave him hardware! The software in your example is the yet-to-be-surpassed HumanoBrain Mk4.2

Excel, or you can download for free the Open Office suite which has an equivalent to excel.

Agreed. The sort function and Filter function should allow the data to be searched most thoroughly.

As an engineer, I have found very few "simple software" solutions to my needs. The learning curve and the wrestling always seemed to outweigh the time and effort required to create an Excel solution. Excel is my Go-To software for just about everything.
