Anybody Having Trouble With G Mail?

Well, what's weird is that you seem to indicate that the others are on GMail too, and if that's the case then it's very weird because the message say's that their GMail server won't accept a connection to 'your GMail server.' If they're not with GMail, then there 's some problem with their email server; or a slight possiblity is their accounts - maybe full? Or been canceled? donno... Long shot - double check their email addresses within that group on GMail? Or try sending another one out add a different email address you might have such as Hotmail?

We have a group at work that uses g-mail and google calendar to communicate and coordinate our appointments, vacations, etc. We each use a different color on the calendar to make it easy to see who will be off or out of the office. I just checked the mail part with my boss in the next office and it seems to be working just fine here. Sorry I can't be of more help here, maybe the problem is in a limited area.

Earlier today, I sent a test email from Gmail to myself, the other two people on the Gmail account, and three external email addresses. Everything went through except to folks on GMail. As for being full, I am currently using only 1% of my storage--as is everybody else, I assume, because we've only been on a couple of months.

Until Saturday, Gmail was working just fine. I don't particularly like it, but it works.

I just sent a message to myself. No problem. It came in about 2 seconds. I have used it for a long time with no trouble.

My best guess is that your computer has a virus/trojan, which has commandeered your email client, and if this is the case your computer is most likely sending out spam emails without your knowledge to your contact list. Check with your contacts that you can call, and see if they have been getting any spam type emails from your email address. Even if they try and respond to that email, you will never see it. If your computer IS infected like this I suggest backing up the stuff you want to keep, and have a computer shop do a complete wipe of your system, and then reinstall your OS. Be sure and have them check your 'back ups' for viruses as well.

I have not used gmail for forums, but yahoo has a tendancy to file emails as spam if one person sends many emails per day to their forums. Have you checked the Spam box? If they are in there, checking them as "not spam" often - but not always - works.

See if your gmail account was hacked, mine was a couple of months ago. However, gmail actually informed me as it was a huge number of accounts that were effected at the time.

I have had problems with gmail and Google since last Sunday but as of March 01 the problems disappeared. Now things are back to normal. Suspect problem was at Google but do not expect them to admit it. The brother in law also reported Google problems and he lives 500 kilometers away.

Thanks for the confirmation. My problems cleared up mysteriously last night, too. Glad it wasn't just me. If it wasn't for forums like this, we'd never know.

Reminds me of the time my lawyer wife was having problems with some legal software. She called customer disservice, and they swore she was the only one having problems, they never heard of such a thing, blah, blah.

So she goes to a legal conference a week or so later, and asked--in the middle of a computer session--if anybody else was having problems with the software. Dozens of hands went up. I guess customer disservice is taught to lie.

Guess you never took a modern business class. Every MBA holder I ever met, lies like a rug and I was told to do the same. Got in trouble when I didn't. It is seen as a sign of disloyalty if you are honest and admit the truth to a customer instead of admitting the company may have an issue to deal with.

Remember also that Google and Microsoft are at war. Expect to see signs of collateral damage from time to time as they battle it out for market share.

Are you using online mail [IMAP] that is you login to gmail in your profile

or

Pop3 mail [from Outlook express or like].
