Ladder Logic Diagram Using Level Switches and Relays

03/01/2012 7:56 PM

Ok I'm still in school and need help with a diagram, it has 1 high level switch, 1 low level switch, 1 motor starter, and two relays. Also a manual and auto switch. When in auto the high level switch starts the pump and the low level switch stops the pump. When in manual the starter contacts just pull in. I appreciate the help.

Hi Mikey55,

It sounds like you have a good grasp on what is supposed to happen. However, I did not detect a specific question from you. Do you have one?

What steps have you made in learning the LL programming?

Mike

I can't imagine what the second relay is for; and if the motor starter has an available NO auxiliary contactor, even the first relay is unneeded.
