When I was in college a number of years ago, the Physics Dept showed a movie called "Powers of Ten". It was a fascinating look at distances from the human scale, to the whole Universe, then down to the size of quarks and the Plank length.
The Website APOD (Astronomy Picture of the Day) put up a new, interactive version that is really mind blowing. It takes a few seconds to load. Once it does you can use your cursor wheel to move 'in' or 'out' through the distance scale. Or, you can use the slider bar provided below the picture. You can click on objects to get more info about them. Here's the link. I hope it works for you.
