is there any design standard for Rectangular Flanges?

Dear Sir,

There is book written by Kanti Mahajan titled " Design of process equipment " 2nd edition. There is a detailed procedure for design.

A paper was presented in the 11th International Conference on Pressure Vessel Technology, July 23-37, 2006, Vancouver, Canada

Paper was for the design of large rectangular flange for the vessel. The design conditions for the vessel were 50 psig @ 300 °F.

A large rectangular flange (5' wide x 12.5' Long) was designed using finite element analysis for a horizontal mixer vessel.

The finite element analysis results were validated using the criteria given in ASME Boiler & Pressure Vessel Code, Sec. VIII, Div. - 2, Appendix - 4.
