tremendous number of it

and there are huge numbers of equipments on the market.

if you dont buy from market, try to do by yourself, very easy. use a lm393, a transistor and a relay and a transformer to make your own protector.

maybe i didnt put myself clearly, i want a protection scheme for all my domestic appliances including my 4 plate cooker. We usually experience voltage variations due to loss of neutrals on overhead supply lines and switching surges due to load shedding. Can i use a UPS on a 4 plate cooker?

They are sold as UPS uninteruptable power supply. Thet come in two types online for crytical usage and stand by types were the mains is good when available but will step in if it fails. They need to be rated at three times the equipment load because the makes cheat and try to sell you a unit that says it will allow a much bigger load to be supported than is realy the case. Plus the bigger the longer it will keep your equipment powered. Cost is the limitting factor. Oh and may be space.

Can i use the UPS to power my 4 plate cooker? i want a protection scheme such that whenever there are massive switching surges my house will be instantaneously isolated by tripping of my main 60A ACB.

you can , of cause, use the ups to your home applicances. if only use cooker, I thnk its a wiste.

If the cook er is a microwave oven or electromagnetic oven etc, you can use, if only an electric stove, it needent.
