How to Ensure efficient combustion of fuel in a pulverized coal fired boiler ? What are the parameters can be confirm by instrument for complete combustion of fuel in Boiler ?

To ensure better combution in a powdered coal boiler the incoming air has to be forced into a swirling motion, thus forcing the powdered coal to follow the swirling air-stream!

Yes, mixing. The more coal powder that is exposed to air, the better the combustion.

Complete combustion is a factor of the amount of oxygen versus the amount of hydrocarbons (coal) and is indicated by a maximum temperature or heat generated, or flame color, or smoke generation, or soot. Smoke and soot indicate improper combustion.

Generally for complete combustion, supply excess air.

Also the coal should not stick together. Since coal contains oil, that is not easy.

For an experiment, Id think ultrasonic waves might be interesting!
