Compressed air Receiver Design

Hi,

I am doing design for the Compressor system. I would like to know the receiver Calculation.

Compressed air Flow - 4178 CFM

Pressure - 8.5 Barg

Could anybody help on this

The surge flow is needed, together with the surge event duration, together with the minimum receiver pressure to be sustained during the surge. Everything then drops out of a first order decay calculation; the time constant for the decay is the receiver size divided by the surge flowrate. Add a bit of size to make sure, and then make sure it fits the location.
