Tan Delta Test Dissipation Value

Hi...

We conducted tan delta test for HV bushing 400 KV, the dissipation value was .0045 at 10.2 kv.

can u tell me what is 0.0045 , is this angle if then what is its unit & what should be the limiting values for tan delta test.means how much dissipation is allowable?

plz help me...sandhya

Why isn't the test detail and the acceptance criterion written in the test documentation recording the results of the test?

How is it you are doing the testing, and you don't even know what is the meaning of the test results produced? Do you even know that you are performing the test correctly? Have you had instruction in using the tan-delta test equipment? Part of the instruction in using it is to understand what the test results mean. Get someone who knows what they are doing, before you get into trouble by condemning good equipment, or even worse, passing equipment that actually fails.
