Spiral Wound Gasket Center Ring (Outer Ring)

In Spiral Wound Gasket for Center ring C.S & SS material,where these materials separately use.

Eample: When 2 flanges of CS material , Center Ring material SS can we use or CS material only to use?

Please Clarify me ASAP.

It depends upon the end user's Piping Standards, which cannot be seen from here.

Outer guide ring of the spiral wound gasket is just for centering the gasket. CS guide ring is sufficient, why to spend more in getting SS ring.
