6 Stage Blower Vibration Issues

Hi there,

I've been encountering some vibration issues on my blower setup.

Motor (1500RPM)-Gearbox-Blower (4200rpm)

Installation and pre-startup was carried out properly. However upon starting up, the outboard vibration increases and triggered to trip at 13 mm/sec PK.

Could it be the thrust clearance issue?

It could be a number of things and a site visit from the equipment manufacturer's local technical representative with a view to eliminating them is thoroughly recommended. Is there a telephone nearby?

PW's right. The list of causes for vibration is long and numerous and in all likelihood would be extremely difficult to diagnose via the net.

Might be caused by surge. Have you checked the delivery system is as design, not causing too high pressure/low flow eg by excessive throttling?
