Stun Gun

05/10/2012 8:30 AM

Stun gun are good for self defence.I read about conductive liquid powered gun of this type.In theory 2 electrodes are needed to dumb electric charge on opponent. If that is the case 2 liquid chambers should be there so that there is no short circuit. Just wondering Why don't a single jet of liquid and with an earth connection can't be used? Lets assume he is standing in his bare foot.

If the guy firing the gun was also in his bare feet, it would work . Think about it!

Really convenient - operator constrained to use the weapon with it wired to an earthing post or mat! .

AND he has to ask his target if he would mind taking off his shoes and socks before firing. .

Aw! Whatever would the chances be of a single jet of conductive fluid not breaking up into droplets on the way to the target?

Terrorism and self defence is not an oxymoron.

Why not just spray an immobilising fluid and forget the electrical complication? Water cannon? Chlorine? Tear gas? Agent orange?

"Stun gun are good for self defence." According to whom?

Your description is a taser, not a stun gun. Either way.

Why not carry around an electric cattle prod? No puddles on the floor... well, maybe a small puddle will be generated by the subject, barefoot or not.

Mythbusters tried it already. Never got it to work properly. Maintaining unbroken streams of water was only one of several difficulties.
