Orifice Flow

05/12/2012 10:44 PM

For an orifice plate

Operating pressure is 30 bar.

Max flow 13000 NM3/Hr.,

DP 1000 MMWG

If this pressure is 12 bar & other parameter is same, then flow will be affected or not?

Now the pressure before the orifice is 30 B and after the orifice 29.902 B (delta P 0.098 B, or 1000 mmwg).

If the pressure before the orifice is lowered to 12B, then flow will decrease, the delta P will become less (for instance, 0.04 B)

Among other things, it depends if the fluid is a gas (density will change) or a liquid (no change). The 13,000 Nm3/h indicates a gas.

sir

Accuracy of flow readingchange if pressure change even rise or decrease ie we use flow compensation farmula with flow measurement.
