	Do anyone know whether Sulfuric Acid can be used to differentiate SS304 and SS316 stainless steel plate? Thanks.

	I need to find the supplier for that, but so far I just manage to find supplier for nickel tester. I have look for the stainless steel compostion in ASME table, SS304 consists of 8.0~10.5 nickel, while SS304L consists of 8.0~12.0 nickel , while SS316 and SS316L consists of 10.0~14.0. So, I would like to ask whether I can use nickel tester to differentiate it? Thanks.

	From the above figures, if the nickel tester came out with 10.3%, then clearly, no it couldn't.
