Grouting for Steel Structures

Hi,

can anybody please tell me what is expansive agent in grouting for steel structures? Also,what is mortar grout?

Some expansive grout is used for demolition. demolition technologies expansive-grout

Non shrink grouts are used for setting baseplates and equipment. wikipedia on Non-shrink grout

Usually, non-shrink grouts are also non-metallic.....used under beam & girder bearing plates, under steel column leveling plates, and under machinery as passington has already stated above.

Expansive agents are type of admixtures. What properties does expansive agent adds when used in grouting?

a bit of internet research today - tells me that it is used to offset initial shrinkage that is caused due to loss of water and chemical reaction.

are you an engineer or a half-assed scab contracter. you should already know the correct formalar. please let me know the address of this building so i don't accidentally walk into in.
