1. According to ASME B16.5 (Pipe flanges & flanged fittings NPS 1/2" through NPS 24" ):
a. The min. thickness of pipeflange (C) is :
• for 1" NPS, 150# : C = 0.56" • for 1 1/2", 150# : C = 0.69"
b. The min. thickness of flanged fitting (C) is :
• for 1" NPS, 150# : C = 0.44" • for 1 1/2", 150# : C = 0.58"
2. For ASME B16.34 it is for (Valves-Flanged, Threaded, and Welding Ends).
3. I'd like you to check the class/rating of control valve flange with respect to the rating of piping system in accordance with ISA standards (Instrument Society of America). Sometimes ISA selects rating of control valve to be greater than the piping rating.

My friend says, Table no: 10 of ASME-B-16.5 -Edition: 1996 shall be followed for Control valve flange.
With which i don't agree. Because, piping has provided mating flange in control valve as per Table no: 09 , which is having appox. 2.7 mm more flange thickness than the thickness of control valve body.
Is any specific note is availble in API, ASME or ISA standard which may confirm that while sizing of control valve flange, the same should match with the corresponding thickness of piping matching flange.
