1) Do you have a test procedure? If you do have a test procedure then follow it. If you do not have a test procedure, ask your supervisor for a test procedure. Your supervisor will know better than we do the environment and condition of this installation.

2) Do you have an assembly diagram? If you do have an assembly diagram then follow it. Pay particular attention to which washers (lock, flat, Belleville, etc.) are specified in the diagram and if any torque values are identified. If you do not have an assembly diagram, ask your supervisor for an assembly diagram or for a nominal assembly technique.

1. Your employer should have this information as part of the bid/specification package,

2. See above for where to find the torque values since it will depend upon things that we can't know such as type/material/size of fasteners and bus-bars. Hand-tightening is never appropriate and the fact that you asked indicates that you are not the right person for the job.

Please heed what others have said in response to all your previous posts, leave the job to those with the proper training and use the time to learn what they know. Until then please stop masquerading as an engineer, the life you save may be your own.

This site is not the proper place to go for an education.

Maybe try here:

Normally the Switch gears are purchased from reputed manufacturers. They provide you with all technical details for the erection and commissioning . You only have to follow them strictly. They also provide help on demand to ensure that their product is commissioned properly . If you are an experienced engineer you will be knowing all the commissioning methods. The spoon feeding will not work. You have to work hard to earn experience. There is no shortcut .

I can't remember how many switch boards I've installed. But I would never proceed without the manufacturers manual.

You don't just nip the bus-bar connections up until it feels tight, you use the correct torque set by the manufacturers.

Misalignment can cause problems with fixed and moving contacts, this is basic set up procedure.

As for testing, follow the manufactures and your own company's recommendations. If you don't, the failure will be blamed on you.

You obviously have no experience in this field so leave things to those that have.

Reading is not spoon feeding. The OP wants to know which paragraph of a free publication has the answer.
